Schafer Hardwood Flooring specializes in the manufacturing of Solid and Engineered Flooring. Listed below are the features that are constant throughout all of our hardwood flooring:

• All of our flooring is ¾” thick. This construction industry standard thickness means that your Schafer hardwood floor will match your existing moldings and transition pieces.
• Our manufacturing specializes in domestic species.  We produce hardwood flooring in Red Oak, White Oak, Hard Maple, Hickory, American Walnut, Ash and Beech. Exotic species are also available.
• All of the lumber that we use in our flooring is from Michigan and neighboring states. This hardwood region produces some of the highest quality hardwood in world. Slow growing seasons, combined with soil that is low in mineral content, provide us with tight dense grain patterns and excellent color density.
• Our hardwood flooring is made only from trees cut in sustainable forests. In addition, any unused lumber is recycled into sawdust and used for as bedding for farm animals and wood stove heating products. It is truly an environmentally friendly product.
• All of our hardwood flooring is end matched with a tongue and a groove and is available in widths from 1 1/2” to 8” wide.
• Our Solid and Engineered hardwood flooring is available in both unfinished and prefinished forms.
• Our Solid and Engineered hardwood flooring can be hand scraped and distressed by hand on a board by board basis by our staff of artisans. This will give you a truly unique looking floor.
