• Northern Hardwoods  - The Northern Michigan hardwood region produces some of the highest quality hardwood in world. Slow growing seasons, combined with soil that is low in mineral content, provide us with tight dense grain patterns and excellent color density.
• Quality of Milling - Our design parameters and specification tolerances far exceed industry standards. The resulting outcome is a tighter fitting floor with minimal overwood that requires less sanding.
• Best Value - Most Hardwood Flooring is manufactured by sawmills trying to get rid of their low grade lumber.  Not at Schafer!  We buy first grade hardwood lumber only from mills that we have certified for quality standards.  We realize that your flooring can only be as good as the lumber it came from!
